A silver medallist at the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games, Carolyn Waldo was chosen to be the Canadian flag-bearer for the Seoul 1988 Olympic Games opening ceremony, as a medal hopeful. And she did not disappoint.
After winning her first gold in the synchronized swimming individual event, she joined her partner Michelle Cameron for the duet. With a beautiful presentation, Carolyn Waldo and Michelle Cameron became Olympic champions.
