the idea girl says
we’ve already watched this movie 3 times in the past 24 hours on TV.
I can’t believe the ratings it got from critics and people.
It’s hilarious!
I did notice that the EDITING is not very good in this movie.
Jennifer changes hair color in several shots.
Which tells me that they shot random scenes and spliced it together without noticing the fact that she has blonde highlights on her bangs in one scene, next none in the hair and third blonde again.
It was kind of distracting, and the scene at the cupid hotel with change of clothes?
That wasn’t good at all, the clothes were nasty but not funny.
I would have chosen funny looking instead of nasty.
It comes across as an action movie in the trailer but really it’s quite comical.
Sarah Thorp does a great job with a witty conversation going on between these two ex love birds, that happen to be thrown together.
The relationship between the two characters didn’t have enough time to develop, there was something missing, we didn’t connect with the actors at all in this movie.
I think the editing is to blame this time.
Going from one random scene to another, broke up the flow.
I could swear that someone did a lot of rewrites for Jennifer.
It broke up the tempo for one, and second Gerard had half the lines that she had and it makes it kind of unbalanced in the script.
Just an obeservation.
I always scrutinize movies that don’t do well at the box office and look to see why or what caused them to make less then the coveted $100 million in their first weekend viewing….
Also no big surprise but really I was. Public Relations is to blame as well.
I google The Bounty Hunter and I get DAWG’s photos, tv series and 2 pictures of the movie?
THATS really strange.
Usually fans go nuts and bloggers do too, and they write and post photos, videos and stuff about their favorite actors.
There are NO fan videos… YIKES…
That is not good.
Now I take a look at the cast.
HOLY.. you have 4 main TV show stars all playing parts in this movie and you didn’t do ANY publicity about them.
Now that’s your problem, you put all your eggs into two baskets, Jennifer and Gerard and forgot that you have a HUGE cast here to work with.
If you want your movies to make over $100 million ALL the stars should be doing publicity, interviews, blogs, photo shoots, that’s the way to get the word out.
All those CSI TV Fans would flock to see their FAVORITE star in a movie, if someone had told them about it.
I think they would, unless they are home bodies… now we’ll see what we can do with your TV tuning ratings and DVD sales to bring up this fabulous movie!
I guarantee you’ll get a few chuckles out of it, especially if you’ve experienced a divorce, or break up from a long term relationship.
Here is the box office mojo facts.
$67,061,228 domestic sales
| $69,259,318 | foreign sales (they beat us again!) |
total is
| Worldwide: | $136,320,546 | july 8,2010 |

is there a site to see DVD sales for movies, if not.. they should add this info on the IMBD data base, link to box office gross, and other things.

The Idea Girl Says Word Press
I’ve never even heard of this movie, but it actually looks (and sounds from your review, aside from the bad editing) like it might be quite entertaining! I’ll have to check it out…thanks
