The Welland Canal Wetlands – Old Pump House Winter – BGT – Cemetery
It’s a story about a underground railway tunnel that is 700 feet long. It is built under the 3rd Welland Canal between lock 18 and 19.
Thousands flock to see the ghosts every year. Hoping to catch a glimpse of the hauntings. Some are lucky while others leave frustrated.
The question – is the tunnel haunted by the train wreck that happened in Merritton in 1903 – 100 feet away from the west end of the blue ghost tunnel?
No… only two engineers died in that crash.
Was it from the airplane accident that killed 6 people by lock 6?
No they haunt the Victoria Lawn Cemetery where they are buried.
So who is haunting the blue ghost tunnel?
I have a pretty good idea.

The Idea Girl Says Word Press
Excellent video – real good tunes to match the topic which was kind of sinister. I had heard of this tunnel before from a time when I was more into the paranormal – now I am just into the underground and fortunately I live near the Blue Tunnel (Guelph) so I will now be paying a visit. There is a warren of passages nearby from which some of the rock for parts of the canal were mined. I had heard of caves near the Welland Canal – they would be my main interest, but this will certainly make an interesting detour.
Thanks, Mick
