The Mansion On The Hill – Part One Revised June 5, 2009

June 6, 2009 · Leave a Comment

the mansion on the hill

I’ve been having fun this week working on my novel, “The Mansion On The Hill.” I’ve managed to write a 200 page book of dialogue and typed up about 60 pages so far. It’s a new beginning for the book (over 130,000 word count so far – I think it’s going to be more than one book at this rate) to expand on the characters of Joseph Munroe, Ophirah Ramsbottom, Jake Munroe and Jesseline Thirkill. I’ve added some historical data for early Canada in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, mixed with some naughtiness and genius ideas.

The lives of these characters interchange with others in Place Royale, Canada. There are affairs of the heart, business propositions, karma and it’s consequences, magical powers, spells and Ojibwa Natives. There is deception and rivalry between the men and women, each wanting their own goals met and not caring how it affects the persons around them. Such selfishness, care, kindness and love, it’s a pull of emotions as the characters develop and evolve. Some will change for the better and others for the worse.
