Twitter The Idea Girl – Viral Emails That Say Follow Me

idea-girl-consulting

I always come up with ideas but sometimes I like to hear what people would like to read. I was looking at Get a Freelancer’s  Job Listings and I put a bid on increasing Twitter Followers. It made me think of the fact that I had signed up for “Follow Me” and it was supposed to give me 9,000 followers, I have around 715 last time I checked. I didn’t read every little detail given, but I assumed since it was a viral program it would do it’s own thing.
I think it works like this, You get an email saying Gilbert is now following you. You click on Gilbert’s twitter ID and it brings you to his pro-filer page. In most cases you will decided to Follow “Gilbert” because he shares the same interests as you. You click on his name and it says, “You are now following Gilbert.” The next day, you will receive an email that says, Gilbert is now Following you. Yeah I know he is, according to you Mr Twitter, he was doing that “yesterday.” You open the email and click on his profile and it says, “Follow Gilbert?” Yesterday, you picked that option, today it’s a repeat. It’s like setting the two of you up for an Internet follow me meeting. Once both of you are following each other, it starts again on a new person. Care to comment? Am I right or wrong about this?
