If you plan to buy a used computer, you should be aware of several things.
First – The Windows program needs to be licensed and you should be given a copy of the disc
Second- Be aware of the amount of Ram and Harddrive Space you will require to run the programs that you will be using
Third – Virus Scanners can be tricky and actually slow your system down and create more problems for you. Find one that uses the least amount of disk space to run.
Fourth – Make sure the computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard all work before you leave the store
Fifth – A warranty of a minimum of 30 days should be given with your computer, 60 days is the norm and 6 months is really great!
Sixth- Make sure you have a computer repair shop close by that can service your system when needed. Nothing worse then driving across town or out of town every time something needs to be adjusted!
Seventh – Enjoy your computer system and be aware of its limitations!
